This is a super yummy meal that kids love to prepare. Since it uses frozen hash browns, it's really simple and fast to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 onion , chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
- Sour cream ( optional)
Directions:
- In a large saucepan or stockpot, on low heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions till browned.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Mix in the hash browns, stirring well.
- Add the cans of soup, milk, cheese, and ground black pepper. Simmer on medium heat until it starts to boil.
- Carefully pour into individual soup bowls, and garnish with crumbled bacon, sour cream and additional grated cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
